High Weald Beekeepers
WHAT'S NEW?

Dates for the final Summer Meetings

Swarm & Skep

The High Weald Beekeepers Association.

We are a group of friendly people with varying degrees of beekeeping experience, covering the area of the High Weald in North-East Sussex.
We would welcome anyone who wishes to learn more about the craft or to share your knowledge and experience with us.

We meet monthly throughout the year, with indoor talks, demonstrations, and workshops in the Winter, and meetings at member’s Apiaries in the Summer. These meetings are generally garden meetings where members can share their experience in bee management in an informal atmosphere.
Usually followed by a social gathering with tea & cakes.

We also have an Association Apiary, which is of particular value to the newer, less experienced members, where they can learn about beekeeping in a more structured way, and gain experience in handling bees under the tuition of some of our more experienced members.

We also have a library of beekeeping books which can be borrowed by members, and a bi-monthly newsletter, the Wealden Apiarist, which is sent electronically to all members.

Membership of the High Weald Beekeepers Association also covers affiliation to the Sussex BKA and the national body, the British Bee Keepers Association. There are links to these organisations on the “Contacts” page.

To see a list of our forthcoming meetings go to the “Events” page.

If you would like to join the Wealden Beekeepers go to the “Join Us!” page.

If you have any comments about these web pages contact the ‘web-master’.
