WELCOME TO HOLMESDALE BOWLING CLUB WEBSITE.
The purpose of this site is to introduce our Club to you, provide sufficient information to encourage you to visit the Club, and hopefully to join us.

The bowling club is on a ground shared with Holmesdale Cricket Club, beside the A25 road, Worships Hill, Riverhead, Sevenoaks, Kent.
Our club was established in 1912, and as far as we know has existed continuously ever since. It is an outdoor club, meeting from the end of April to the end of September each year. Originally there were four rinks, adjoining a tennis court - which would have been in the foreground of this picture. Then the tennis court was removed and our present rinks five and six laid in its place. We have a varied social calendar with additional events taking place during the winter months. Information can be found on the SOCIAL NEWS page below.
The second page gives contact details for the clubhouse, and various officials. THE CLUBHOUSE TELEPHONE IS NOT MONITORED FROM THE MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER TO THE END OF APRIL. If you want to make contact with the club during this time, please ring anyone listed on the Contact Page.
HOW TO USE THIS SITE.
You will see that various categories appear on the left under PAGES. Click on the page(s) which interest you. Different subjects have been grouped together. The upper pages refer to the club as a whole, followed by Mens Bowls and Ladies Bowls heading these particular areas of interest. Individual Leagues and Divisions appear on separate pages, with the latest date in the heading so you can see if there is any newer information since you last looked.
Site statistics indicate that the HOME PAGE & MEN'S FRIDAY LEAGUE are the most popular pages on the site.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITIES OF A WEBSITE IS THAT IT IS REGULARLY UPDATED.
DURING THE OUTDOOR SEASON INFORMATION IS ADDED MOST WEEKS AND SOMETIMES TWICE A WEEK. DURING THE WINTER MONTHS THE SITE IS CHECKED LESS FREQUENTLY, BUT IS USUALLY READY FOR THE NEW SEASON BEFORE IT STARTS.
